In conjunction with the opening of Rabobank Graafschap Noord’s new administrative centre in Zutphen, the former artwork entitled Satt-Rosa has been given both a new location and a new shape ̶ Satt-Rosa (second version).

Increasingly more local member Rabobanks are also finding inspiration in art. They either develop their own art collection or engage with contemporary art in some other way. Rabobank Utrecht is one of the local member banks that has a passion for art. It presents works from the Art Nearby project in the special personnel office for Rabobank Nederland located on the Croeselaan in Utrecht.

Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands unveiled an artwork by Marinus Boezem on Monday, 18 April 2011 during the official opening of Rabobank Apeldoorn’s new Consultancy Centre.

Up until now, the Rabo Art Collection could only be seen in the offices of Rabobank Nederland, and it was primarily Rabobank employees who had the privilege of enjoying it. But that will be changing soon.

On 22 September, the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Noord-Brabant awarded the Visual Arts Prize 2010 to the duo Martin and Inge Riebeek.

This Saturday, 28 November, Ann Demeester (director of art centre De Appel) presents the work of artist Ger van Elk.

In the past century, Dutch companies have amassed a collection of modern art to rival any public collection in size and importance.

The Foam Photography Museum in Amsterdam presents Paradis, the first major retrospective of the work of Dutch photographer Charlotte Dumas (32), for which Rabobank has loaned two pieces and acquired an additional new one.

The Wahlverwandtschaft Bouwfonds Art Collection - Museum Belvédère exhibition will be on display at the Museum Belvédère in Heerenveen, the Netherlands from 15 May through 16 August 2009. This unique exhibition shows works from the Bouwfonds Art Collection (a division of the Rabo Real Estate Group) in a direct relationship with works from the museum’s own collection. The related focus when selecting the works for this event was on the strong affinities between the two collections. Bringing these likenesses to light entailed unearthing the interfaces that lie deeper than superficial similarities without losing sight of the autonomous qualities of both collections.

Maria Roosen has been presented with the 2009 Singer Award for her original and unorthodox oeuvre. The jury selected her for this oeuvre award due to her ability to repeatedly express her personal, thematic ‘story’ in a recognisable manner. She employs her artistic image language imaginatively and frequently uses glass as the starting point for innovative combinations of materials.

The Rabobank Art Department is proud to present its new website. It is a platform that provides both direct insight into the collection and an overview of our activities in the field of collecting art.

The Rabo Art Collection will hold a very special place in the new administrative centre on the Croeselaan in Utrecht. Rabobank Nederland is the first Dutch organisation to create an exhibition space in which it can display its art collection both on its own and in combination with other artworks. The room boasts more than 600 square metres of exhibition space and clearly projects the bank’s image thanks to its high visibility, also from street level.


The ‘Allies or Opposites’ Symposium focused on the range of different players who all contribute to public art collections in the Netherlands. Do they complement each other or get in one another’s way?
