Art in the New Administrative Centre

The Rabo Art Collection will hold a very special place in the new administrative centre on the Croeselaan in Utrecht. Rabobank Nederland is the first Dutch organisation to create an exhibition space in which it can display its art collection both on its own and in combination with other artworks. The room boasts more than 600 square metres of exhibition space and clearly projects the bank’s image thanks to its high visibility, also from street level.
The aim is for this exhibition space to develop into a lively and dynamic hub where there is always something new and interesting to be discovered. One large crowd-puller will be shown each year that will centre around a theme inspired by either art itself or a development or event involving the bank. An artist will be invited to create a large-scale or at least an intense work especially for this exhibition. The second exhibition will revolve around the Rabo Art Collection. The related focus could, for example, be on new acquisitions, interesting storylines from the collection or a group of interrelated artists.
Space will also be reserved for art on the identity floors in the tower of the new administrative centre. The exhibitions will always focus on one specific field of art included in the Rabo Art Collection, such as painting, multimedia, photography, sculpture and work on paper. This approach will do real justice to the artwork and provide each floor with a unique identity.
